LAND – DISMOUNT
Snipers & Surveillance, dismounts and light combat vehicles
Sentinel Photonics’ laser detection and protection equipment protects dismounted soldiers and equipment against a wide array of laser threats. When a laser strike is detected, immediate warning can be given to operators via a range of available alert mechanisms, either to trigger appropriate countermeasures or to record important battlespace intelligence. LASERD® can also instantly measure a laser’s parameters, outputting: laser type, wavelength, power, location and pulse pattern. LASERD® can therefore share detailed information with external devices regarding the location and exact nature of visible and invisible battlespace laser sources including beamriders, rangefinders, designators, illuminators and LIDAR. This ultimately improves battlefield and mission effectiveness and saves lives.

Integrated warning systems on heavy armoured vehicles
LASERD® sensor modules area available for integration into battlespace platforms. By integrating with existing vehicle data systems, LASERD® can instantaneously generate and distribute actionable warning information to aid with the defeat of various laser-enabled threats such as beamriders and precision-guided munitions.
Standalone LASERD® sensors can also be retrofitted to existing armoured platforms to provide an ad hoc, rapid, defensive sensing capability without the need for a lengthy and expensive integration process.

Sentinel Photonics above-water laser detection and protection systems meet a range of needs, from maritime security operations to combat operations. In an above water Warfare context, the laser detection and protection systems detect a broad range of laser sources, with a high bearing accuracy and with multiple sources simultaneously which will ultimately deliver a tactical advantage so improving warfare situations and mission effectiveness.
Naval forces are exposed to several different threats with complex behaviours, especially unmanned air and surface vehicles. This means there is a need for our state-of-the-art laser detection and protection systems being deployed into such variable and dynamic situations. These systems can detect and decode laser threats in real time, as well as provide an intelligence base to build future solutions, giving our customers continued operational advantage, ultimately protecting vessels against a variety of modern threats.
